“Uniting daughters to achieve their destiny” was more than just a catch phrase for Daughters of Destiny. It’s always very clear concerning our intention to connect women and girls to best achieve goals and supporting their communities.

Meet Ilse Daniels a grade 5 teacher at HJ Kroneberg in Kensington, who without having to think about it said Yes! She is now helping a few of our girls with academic assistance. They started with their first session yesterday, 17 August at Factreton Primary School.

Hear what Ilse has to say, “I decided to tutor Grade 7 learners because there is a need in our community for academic assistance among children. Being a primary school teacher, I have the necessary skills and knowledge to assist children. As this is a small group I’m tutoring, it is more personal and I am able to help the learners in specific areas of need. This then helps the learners feel less anxious. I would recommend tutoring to anyone who is serious about uplifting the community, which is a great reward in itself.”

Like Ilse we are confident that there are many more women in this community who would like to impact the lives of girls, contact us today.
