“I am a Daughter of Destiny, I love myself, I love others, I am beautiful, I am a daughter of destiny” We proudly uttered those words as part of our weekly pledge, whilst holding each other as we stood in a circle.

We have had several walks in our imaginary parks as we learnt how to greet, do observations and learn about safety. We surely loved spending time with you- presentation time was always great fun.

A special thank you goes to Mymoena and staff for your warm reception week after week and for your ongoing support.
We are excited to continue teaching the girls in 2018 and welcome our new girls.
Thanking you,
Lynn Joseph
]]>The feedback from Teacher Adielah caused a stampede of joy, not only from the DOD girls but all at the school. Affirmation from their teacher was the Highlight of our session.
Thank you Playtime staff once again for y our support and love.

Throughout a child’s school career even as early as ECD they are required to speak in front of peers and teachers, presentations, orals and so much more… Most children find public speaking challenging and daunting. It is important to me that the child enjoys this process of learning age appropriate presentation skills. Many children find the prospect of speaking in front of a group of people to be quite nerve-wrenching. It has even been suggested that the reason why so many adults have a fear of public speaking today, is that they never learned how to feel comfortable in front of a crowd as a child. Inspiring confidence is: if someone or something inspires you to do something new or unusual, they make you want to do it.
As we were preparing for our “presentation day” and evaluation the girls were not impressed… Again! Teacher Lynn we know how now… Smiling as we saw them step up every time it was required.
When I stand in front, inspiring girls is my main purpose, intentionally boosting their confidence every opportunity I am presented with. Especially those who find it extremely difficult, helping them see how they too can do it.

Teaching children how to converse in a polite way is crucial when growing up. Today we taught girls basic skills to make a new friend. Using our teddies as our imaginary friend, then practice makes perfect. Giving the girls opportunity to roleplay, and name their own friend. We gave the friends funny names, preparing the girls how to respond.
Lynn Joseph went by the name of, Zumzuggazuggazumzum causing much laughter among our viewers with every roleplay. The method to our madness was making the girls aware of variety of names and how they need to respond when they make a new friend.
Let’s make a friend!

And did the girls eyes swirl and toes curl when their feet were massaged. A definite winner for any parent looking for a way to steal her child’s heart. Melting moments and memorable for sure. Many moments captured we had to add it all, enjoy!
We would like to acknowledge the teachers and Principal at Playtime Daycare for their wonderful reception and allowing us in their space every week.
